Ghanaian Afro-soul sensation Paapa Versa thrilled fans on January 2 by revealing his ambitious project of releasing 24 songs in 2024. This follows the release of his ten-track album Versa Villa, with a guest verse from E.L, Ko-Jo Cue, and Koo Kusi, and an interlude by M.anifest. In a video message, the versatile artist detailed his plan to drop a new track every two weeks and encouraged fans to propose themes for his upcoming singles. 

On January 5, he released the inaugural song “Brand New,” a self-produced chill soul track with a retro and highlife vibe. Following the release of “Brand New,” let’s explore ten intriguing facts about the artist.

1. Paapa Versa was born in Kumasi but raised in Accra.

2. Born Edwin Paapa hMensa, he is the last of six children.

3. The Portland-based singer holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s in finance. He currently works full-time in tech as a salesforce and CPQ administrator.
